Welcome

The 9th IEEE International NEWCAS Conference will be held in Bordeaux, France, on June 26 - 29, 2011 at the Mercure cité mondiale Hotel. The venue is located in the heart of the city, on the banks of the Garonne, within walking distance from the heart of Bordeaux and the St-Pierre area, famous for its restaurants. The whole city was listed a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007 and hosts the major cultural events of the southwest of france. The date of the conference corresponds to the "épicuriales" traditionnal restaurants event and is contiguous to the vinexpo wine exhibition.

This edition of NEWCAS is organized by researchers from the University of Bordeaux and the Polytechnic Institute of Bordeaux (IPB). The program of the conference will be tailored to reflect the wide spectrum of topics and research interest shared among the organizing entities. This collaboration will be oriented towards advanced research in Microsystems which constitutes the highlights of the NEWCAS conference but also topics related to analog and digital signal processing, low power consumption, and circuits and systems designs.

The topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Computer architecture and memories
  • Digital and mixed-signal circuit design
  • Analog circuit design
  • RF circuit design
  • Test and verification
